Worm Planetary Gear Boxes

Worm Planetary Gear Boxes are basically planetary gear boxes, in which the first stage of reduction is achieved using a Worm-Worm wheel pair. These are typically used in space-constrained applications or for very low-noise requirement. Worm-Worm wheel pair gives an irreversible drive. So, in applications where reverse direction of rotation is required to be prevented, worm planetary gear boxes are used.
